About This Project
Appointed as the project Conservation Specialist, the Practice undertook evaluation, assessment and recording of the Protected Structures on two sites. Our work included a targeted reassessment of key areas affected by deterioration and damage, and the preparation of conservation advice identifying essential stabilisation and repair measures required to ensure safety and arrest further decay.
We provided guidance on appropriate repair approaches and priorities, with a focus on retaining significant fabric and minimising intervention.
The Practice also advised the Project Architects on the design of adjacent new buildings, reviewing proposals to ensure a sympathetic architectural response and to avoid adverse impacts on the Protected Structures, their curtilage, and the wider setting.
