About This Project
At 30–32 Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, the only remaining historic warehouse in the Dublin Docklands, the Practice provided specialist conservation advice in support of a wider redevelopment of the site. Working closely with the Project Architects, we reviewed and guided the design of new buildings and interventions adjacent to the Protected Structure to ensure a sensitive response, appropriate scale and massing, and no adverse impact on the warehouse or its setting.
We advised on conservation-led repair and restoration requirements to the original fabric, with particular focus on retaining significant material and detailing, and on achieving robust junctions between historic and contemporary construction.
The Practice remains involved, advising on the TikTok tenant fit-out to balance modern functional needs with the conservation of the warehouse’s architectural character and cultural significance.
